Don Bosco Tech (Clara Niketan) invited the parents of all the trainees to the center on September 20, 2019, to witness the transformation process. The purpose of the parent’s meet was to meet and get to know the mindset of the parents, build a positive relationship, share information about their child's interests and learning facilities.

The meeting began with prayer a video. Sr. Rufina (Centre Coordinator, Don Bosco Tech, Clara Niketan) welcomed the parents and thanked them for having faith in Don Bosco Tech by sending their children to the center and knowing their children are at right place and also learning right things and to get the feedback from the parents and to know the changes that they see in their children.

She then gave a brief description of Don Bosco Tech, its mission, vision, achievements and targets of skilling through a powerpoint presentation. She also addressed the parents regarding the rules and regulations of the center. She highlighted the best practices followed by the center for effective teaching with life skills and soft skills classes its learning process and how it helps trainee’s overall growth and how it becomes easy in placing them in different jobs according to their capacity, intelligence and skills.

She exhorted the parents to cooperate with Don Bosco Tech training programme by supporting the center and allow their children to move out for jobs and diligently involve in the process of skilling by being supportive, encouraging, guiding and lending a helping hand and creating interests in their children and helping them to be regular for classes and to recognize the interests and aptitude of their children which in return will enhance the skilling program in Don Bosco Tech (Clara Niketan). Parents were made aware that often children are confused between interest and aptitude. Parents need to help their children see the difference between the two and help them choose a career in which they can be successful.

Domain and Placement briefings were presented by Miss Pooja Shakya and Mr. Sandeep Yadav, followed by open discussion among the parents and Trainers. Parents were given inputs specifically of the eight hours’ day session. The session was concluded by the lab visit by the parents and interaction with domain trainers.

Parents expressed their happiness towards the quality of education at the center, skilling of four domains and also praised the center for providing facilities and encouragement for extracurricular/ co-curricular activities which help the overall development of an individual. They also expressed their gratitude regarding the care taken by the center coordinator for the growth of their wards. Meeting concluded with refreshments. The Parents Meet came to an end with the conclusion that the progress of the trainees depends on the joint effort of parents and staff members.
